Julia is well known and respected as being one of the prolific artists at theSpace. Her focus and dedication to creating continually inspires members. While she may be quiet at times, her daily presence is familiar and provides continuity to all who attend workshops and create alongside.
Her favourite colours are red and gold, which are demonstrated in many of the pieces in this year’s body of work. While only a fraction of her work is featured in this year's vernissage, Julia has been busy helping to design the majority of images for theSpace's cookbook, studio signage and various video and animation projects. In the past Julia has enjoyed gymnastics, and competing and working in the public sector. More recently she has continued to enjoy shopping, watching criminal investigative shows and spending time with her sisters. Julia continues to provides a range of portraits and floral pieces which have been a staple of her work, over the past seven years of creation at theSpace. Horses, athletic pursuits and portraits have been recurring subjects, and visible throughout her large body of work. Julia’s unique linework remains iconic, having also been commissioned by many community clientele, and as a result of her compelling and colourful process. |
