Michael lives in Ottawa with his cat Pikachu.
His inspiration comes from a love of animals, especially cats, from birds, especially puffins, from nature, deserts – mainly layer cakes and the colours of life. He has been painting and exhibiting for 20 years. More recently, he has sold work at the Ottawa Art Gallery and at The National Gallery of Canada. Michael is currently enjoying exploring new range of digital tools as well as adapting his style and subject matter for a range of physical objects including tables, chairs and even skate boards.
